TORICH tubing can achieve a surface roughness of Ra ≤ 0.2 μm; BA (Bright Annealed) tubes offer an internal surface roughness of Ra ≤ 0.4 μm, providing good cleanliness at a moderate cost. EP (Electropolished) tubes achieve Ra ≤ 0.2 μm or even lower.

04. Should seamless or welded tubes be chosen for medical devices?

Seamless tubes offer superior strength and consistency, making them suitable for high-pressure, high-fatigue, and implant applications. Welded tubes offer high dimensional precision and are suitable for large diameters, low-pressure applications, and non-critical paths; however, the weld seam must undergo internal bead leveling and electropolishing.

05. What level of precision can TORICH tubing achieve?

Outer diameter tolerance is within ±0.05 mm (precision applications can reach ±0.01 mm or even ±0.005 mm), and wall thickness tolerance is within ±0.05 mm.

06. What packaging options do you provide?

Tubing for medical devices undergoes rigorous cleaning before leaving the factory and is packaged in ISO Class 7 (Class 10,000) or ISO Class 5 (Class 100) cleanrooms. Tube ends are sealed with clean caps, and the tubes are packaged in double-layer clean plastic bags (vacuum or heat-sealed) with traceability labels affixed to the exterior.
