Product Process

1 Raw Material Selection: Select high-quality seamless steel pipes as the base material. These pipes are usually subjected to strict material inspection to ensure their composition and performance meet the requirements.

2 Descaling and Pickling: The steel pipes are descaled to remove surface oxide layers and impurities. Then they are pickled to further clean the surface, followed by passivation treatment to prevent oxidation.

3 Inspection: Before cold drawing, the descaled and pickled steel pipes are inspected to ensure their dimensions and surface quality meet the standards. This step is crucial to ensure the smooth progress of subsequent cold drawing processes.

4 Cutting: The steel pipes are cut to the required length and specifications. The cut pipes are deburred to ensure smooth and clean edges.

5 Cold Drawing Preparation: Before cold drawing, the steel pipes need to be heated to a suitable processing temperature. This improves the ductility of the steel pipes and reduces stress during cold drawing.

6 Cold Drawing: This key step involves cold drawing the heated steel pipes through a cold drawing machine multiple times until the desired size and shape are achieved. The process involves precise dimensional control and surface treatment to ensure accuracy and surface smoothness.

7 Heat Treatment: The cold-drawn steel pipes undergo heat treatment (such as annealing or normalizing) to remove internal stresses generated during cold drawing and improve mechanical properties. This process also helps restore the toughness and strength of the steel pipes.

8 Straightening: The heat-treated steel pipes may bend and require straightening to meet standard straightness.

9 Dimensional Inspection and Surface Examination: The straightened steel pipes undergo dimensional inspection and surface examination. Dimensional inspection ensures the outer diameter, wall thickness, and length meet requirements; surface examination ensures no scratches or cracks.

10 Workshop Inspection: After dimensional inspection and surface examination, the steel pipes undergo workshop non-destructive testing, including:

10.1 Eddy Current Testing: Utilizes electromagnetic induction to detect surface and near-surface defects like cracks and holes.

10.2 Hydrostatic Testing: Subject the pipes to hydrostatic tests to check their pressure-bearing capacity and sealing performance, ensuring no leaks.

10.3 Ultrasonic Testing: Uses ultrasonic technology to inspect the interior of the pipes, detecting internal cracks and pores to ensure internal quality.

11 Anti-Corrosion Treatment: According to the use of the steel pipes, anti-corrosion treatments such as phosphating, passivation, or coating are applied. These treatments enhance the corrosion resistance and extend the lifespan of the pipes.

12 Finished Product Packaging: Finally, the inspected and qualified steel pipes are packaged, usually with waterproof and moisture-proof materials, to facilitate transportation and storage.
