Material Selection and Inspection
Material Standards: High-quality carbon steel, alloy steel, or stainless steel bars conforming to ASTM, GB, and other standards are selected, ensuring the chemical composition (such as C, Mn, Si, Cr, etc.) meets the requirements.
Inspection Items: Spectral analysis, mechanical property testing, and surface quality inspection are performed to eliminate raw materials with defects such as cracks or inclusions.
Cutting and Blanking
Method: Saw cutting or plasma cutting is used to avoid excessive heat-affected zones, ensuring smooth ends.
Size Control: Cut to the appropriate length, typically between 1-5 meters, for subsequent processing.
Heating and Piercing
Heating Furnace: The material is uniformly heated to 1100-1250°C (depending on the material) in a ring-type furnace to ensure plasticity.
Piercing Process: Skew-rolling piercing (e.g., Mannesmann piercing mill) is used to transform solid bars into hollow billets, controlling the wall thickness deviation to ≤±5%.
Hot Rolling
Rolling Mill: A continuous or automatic pipe mill is used for multi-pass rolling to reduce the wall thickness and extend the pipe, forming a near-finished size billet.
Temperature Control: The final rolling temperature must be above the material's recrystallization temperature to avoid work hardening.
Sizing and Straightening

Packaging and Shipping
Packaging Method: Bundling (with corner protectors), wooden crates (for precision tubes), or pallet packaging, with a waterproof membrane on the outer layer.
