Equipment Selection:
Small diameters (≤DN25): Manual saws or grinding wheel cutters.
Large diameters (≥DN200): Oxy-acetylene flame cutting.
III. Forming Process
Heating Treatment
Heat cut billets to a temperature adjusted for material type, reducing deformation resistance to facilitate subsequent extrusion or rolling.
Forming Techniques
Rolling/Extrusion: Use rolling mills or extruders to shape round steel into special-section pipe blanks. Control roller pressure and mold precision.

IV. Finishing Operations

Surface Polishing

V. Welding and Assembly

For pipes ≤150 mm in diameter: 4 tack welds (5 mm each).
For pipes >150 mm: 6 tack welds to ensure root penetration.
Alignment Accuracy:
Weld axis straightness deviation ≤1 mm (≤100 mm diameter) or ≤2 mm (>100 mm diameter).
Connection Methods
Select welding (arc welding, gas-shielded welding) or mechanical connections (screws, flanges) based on application requirements to ensure structural stability.
VI. Post-Treatment and Inspection
Surface Coating
Apply hot-dip galvanizing by immersing pipes in molten zinc to form a corrosion-resistant layer, improving weather resistance and aesthetics^6.
