  • B466 C70600 Copper-Nickel Tube: Offers excellent resistance to seawater and brackish water corrosion, as well as good strength and thermal conductivity. Suitable for heat exchangers, condensers, and desalination plants.
  • Oxygen-Free Copper Tube (OFHC): Offers ultra-high electrical and thermal conductivity, along with excellent ductility and weldability. Suitable for applications in semiconductor, vacuum systems, and power distribution.
  • Beryllium Copper Tube: Offers high strength comparable to steel after heat treatment. It is non-magnetic and non-sparking, making it suitable for use in the oil and gas industry and for instrument components.

Possible Alternative Grades

 

  • For C70600: C71500 (70/30 Cu-Ni) is suitable for higher strength and more severe corrosive environments.
  • For C10100/C10200: If slightly lower conductivity and lower cost are acceptable, C11000 (ETP copper) is an option.
  • For C17200: C17500/C17510, with lower beryllium content, offers better conductivity but slightly lower strength.
