Advantages of Stainless Steel Round Pipe
- TP304 is used in chemical reactors, heat exchangers, and piping where resistance to weak acids, alcohols, and other mild chemicals is required.
- TP309 resists oxidation at higher temperatures and is often used in high-pressure boilers and superheaters involving hot gases or fluids.
- TP310 is well suited for use in heat-processing equipment, including annealing furnaces, heat exchangers, and industrial cooling systems that encounter high-temperature environments.
- TP316 stainless steel has strong resistance to chlorides, making it a preferred material for marine piping systems, shipbuilding, offshore oil rigs, and coastal structures exposed to seawater.

Possible Alternative Grades
- AISI 316L: Low carbon version of TP316, preferred for welded applications where carbide precipitation is a concern.
- AISI 304L: Low carbon version of TP304 for similar applications, offering improved weldability.
- AISI 317L: Contains higher molybdenum for even better corrosion resistance than TP316, suitable for extremely corrosive environments.
- Inconel 600: For high-temperature applications, offering superior heat resistance than TP310.
