- The tubing undergoes optimized heat treatment to reduce residual stress and enhance fatigue resistance, and is supplied in either an annealed or normalized condition.
3. Weldability and Machinability
- The 4130 raw materials selected by TORICH undergo strict chemical composition testing to ensure compliance with ASTM A519 standards. With a carbon content of 0.28–0.33%, the thin-walled sections of the tubing can be welded using standard TIG, MIG, or electrode welding processes without preheating.
- Our tubing is supplied in annealed or normalized condition, exhibiting good ductility, allowing for bending, flaring, and grooving.
4. Quality Control
- The tubing undergoes strict dimensional inspection and surface quality control to ensure dimensions and surface quality meet customer requirements and facilitate easy installation.
- Ultrasonic testing and eddy current testing are employed to ensure the tubing is free of internal defects and can withstand high pressure. Every tube from TORICH undergoes rigorous testing, ensuring full traceability from raw materials to finished product.
