Fin Tube is a heat transfer tube with fins or ribs attached to its outer surface. It is typically used to improve heat exchange efficiency. Finned tubes are also known as finned tubes. By adding fins to the surface of the tube, the heat transfer area can be greatly expanded, thereby enhancing heat exchange capacity. They are commonly used in systems such as air conditioning, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and steam turbines. According to the fin connection method, they can be divided into Embedded fin tube, L-type finned tubes, LL-type finned tubes, KL-type finned tubes, extruded finned tubes, welded finned tubes, tension-wound (press-bonded) finned tubes, etc. This article will mainly introduce Embedded fin tube (G-type finned tubes).

What is embedded Fin tube?
G-type finned tubes are made by pre-machining spiral grooves of varying width and depth onto a steel pipe. Then, a steel strip is embedded into the steel pipe on a lathe. During the winding process, due to the preload, the steel strip is tightly bound within the spiral grooves, ensuring sufficient contact area between the strip and the pipe. To prevent the strip from springing back and falling off, both ends are welded to the pipe.
Advantages of embedded fin tube
Compared to traditional finned tubes, G-type finned tubes offer superior heat dissipation and higher thermal efficiency, making them suitable for equipment requiring large-area heat dissipation, such as air coolers, condensers, and cooling towers.
Their advantages lie in their simple manufacturing process and the robust connection between the fins and the base tube, which helps reduce production costs. Furthermore, G-type finned tubes have high heat transfer efficiency, making them suitable for relatively mild operating environments.

materials of embedded fin tube
Base Tube Materials: Carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, nickel alloy, and copper, etc.
Fin Materials: The selection of fin materials is based on thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and operating temperature. Common fin materials include aluminum, copper, carbon steel, nickel alloy, and stainless steel.
Application areas
TORICH manufactures finned tubes primarily for the processing and production of energy-saving air coolers and heat exchangers. Its products serve industries such as petrochemicals and power plants. They are widely used in flue gas treatment, heat exchangers, economizers, power plant boilers, waste heat boilers, waste heat recovery devices, and air heaters.
