316 stainless steel rectangular tubing is manufactured using a process combining automated welding with cold drawing or cold rolling, ensuring strict dimensional precision with a cross-sectional tolerance of ±0.5 mm and a wall thickness tolerance of ±0.05 mm.
316 stainless steel retains excellent strength and toughness in high-temperature environments, maintaining oxidation resistance at continuous service temperatures of up to 870°C. It is therefore well-suited for high-temperature applications, such as exhaust systems and auxiliary boiler piping in power plants.

Q: Does it meet the compliance requirements for power plants?
A: It is fully compliant. The tubing is manufactured in strict accordance with the ASTM A554 standard, and a Material Test Certificate (MTC) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) report are provided for every batch. It also meets the requirements for ISO 9001 quality system certification and EU CE certification.
Q: How is its weldability? Can it meet the welding requirements for power plant equipment?
A: After welding, the tubing undergoes solution annealing treatment; consequently, the strength of the weld seam matches that of the base material, allowing for direct welding and installation.
Q: Can ASTM A554 rectangular tubing be used in pressure piping systems?
A: No, it cannot. ASTM A554 is a standard for mechanical tubing, designed for structural, decorative, and low-pressure mechanical applications-not for high-pressure fluid conveyance. For pressure piping systems, standards such as ASTM A312 or ASTM A358 should be selected instead.
