- Good Weldability: S31254 and 2507 offer excellent weldability. However, S31254 requires care to avoid hot cracking due to its high alloy content; 2507 requires post-weld heat treatment to maintain duplex phase equilibrium.

Possible Alternative Grades
- UNS S32205 / S31803 (Duplex Stainless Steel): These offer good corrosion resistance and high strength but are more affordable than S32750. Suitable for moderately aggressive environments, especially when budget is a concern.
- Alloy 625 (Nickel Alloy): Known for extreme corrosion and heat resistance, particularly against acidic and high-temperature media. It's a premium option, often used in chemical and aerospace applications.
- UNS N08926 (6Mo Alloy / Alloy 1925 hMo): Similar in corrosion resistance to S31254, offering excellent pitting and crevice resistance, often used interchangeably in seawater applications.
- 316L or 317L Stainless Steel: Lower-cost austenitic grades suitable for general-purpose corrosion resistance. Not suitable for high-chloride or high-pressure environments.
