ASTM Stainless Steel Pipe is manufactured using ultra-low carbon stainless steel grades-such as TP304L and TP316L-which are capable of withstanding the weak acids, weak bases, disinfectants (e.g., hydrogen peroxide and sodium hydroxide), and chloride-rich environments commonly encountered in pharmaceutical manufacturing. These pipes ensure long-term stable operation at temperatures below 350°C, free from the risk of corrosion or leakage.
ASTM A269 Stainless Steel Pipes are produced using a multi-pass cold rolling/cold drawing process, allowing for the control of outer diameter and wall thickness tolerances within ±0.05 mm. This ensures a high-precision fit with compression fittings and automated orbital welding systems.

- For standard pharmaceutical environments (involving the conveyance of purified water or general pharmaceutical fluids, and without requirements for high-temperature sterilization), TP304L is a suitable choice.
- For high-temperature sterilization systems involving repetitive SIP (Sterilization-in-Place) cycles, TP321 is recommended; it offers superior resistance to sensitization and is well-suited for high-temperature steam lines.
- For environments involving aggressive media, high chloride concentrations, or elevated temperatures, 904L or AL-6XN should be selected.

A: Our standard BA tubing is guaranteed to have an internal surface roughness of Ra ≤ 0.5 µm. Through optional electropolishing, we can achieve a roughness of Ra ≤ 0.25 µm or lower.
Q: How should one choose between TP304L and TP316L?
A: TP304L for cost-effective standard purified water/general pharma (low chlorides). TP316L for Cl-, acids, disinfectants, WFI/vaccines.
Q: Do you provide Material Test Reports (MTRs)?
