254 SMO Stainless Steel

Our pipes are seamless pipes made from 254 SMO stainless steel. 254 SMO is a super austenitic stainless steel with a 6% molybdenum content and a high nitrogen content. It is twice as strong as standard austenitic stainless steel and offers enhanced corrosion resistance, including pitting and crevice corrosion resistance, with a PRE rating of ≥42.5. It is widely used in the petrochemical industry, seawater treatment systems, desalination plants, and other fields.

Economic Advantage: 254 SMO Stainless Steel is an economical alternative to nickel and titanium alloys, offering corrosion resistance similar to high-nickel alloys such as Alloy 625, C-276, and titanium at a lower cost.
High-Temperature Resistance: 254 SMO can operate stably at temperatures up to 600°C while maintaining good performance, making it suitable for use in heat exchangers.
