Welded Capillary Stainless Steel Tube operates stably across a wide temperature range of -40°C to 870°C, exhibiting no thermal deformation or brittle cracking, making it well-suited for the extreme environments encountered in automotive applications.
These stainless steel capillary tubes possess excellent bending and forming properties; they can undergo cold bending without the need for heat treatment, free from issues such as work hardening or cracking.
Due to their lower carbon content, grades TP304L and TP316L offer superior weldability; they retain their corrosion resistance after welding without requiring post-weld annealing. This makes them particularly well-suited to meet the complex forming and welding process requirements of automotive tubing systems.

Possible Alternative Grades
- For high-temperature applications exceeding 450°C-such as automotive exhaust systems and turbocharger piping-TP321 is a suitable choice, particularly in cases where post-weld solution treatment is not feasible.
- For high-pressure automotive hydraulic systems and harsh environments exposed to road salts or moisture, Duplex 2205 is the preferred option.
- For automotive exhaust systems, ferritic stainless steels such as 409 and 439 may be selected; these offer lower costs while providing excellent oxidation resistance.
