Polished Stainless Steel Tubing is manufactured from TP316/TP316L stainless steel, enabling it to withstand corrosion from sulfur-bearing (H₂S) and chloride-bearing (Cl⁻) media, as well as acidic fluids, commonly encountered in the oil and gas industry. The TP316L grade features a carbon content of ≤0.03%, effectively preventing intergranular corrosion following welding and eliminating the need for additional stabilization heat treatments; it is suitable for use within a temperature range of -196°C to 400°C.
Compared to carbon steel piping, stainless steel tubing offers a service life that is 3 to 5 times longer. Furthermore, as the tubing undergoes a polishing treatment, it requires no anti-corrosion coatings-thereby preventing blockages in instrumentation lines-and significantly reduces operation and maintenance costs.
Polished Stainless Steel Tubing is produced using a precision seamless forming process, with outer diameter tolerances controlled within ±0.05 mm and wall thickness tolerances within ±0.03 mm.

Possible Alternative Grades
- For instrumentation lines operating at temperatures ≤ 300°C and pressures ≤ 6 MPa-and free of sulfur- or chlorine-containing media-TP304/TP304L is a suitable choice, offering lower costs.
- For oil and gas instrumentation lines exposed to high-chlorine, high-sulfur, or strongly acidic media, TP317L is recommended; with a PREN ≥ 30, it offers superior corrosion resistance compared to TP316/TP316L.
- For instrumentation lines subject to high working pressures (≥ 10 MPa) and severe corrosion-such as high-pressure lines on drilling platforms-2205 duplex stainless steel may be selected; however, due to its processing complexity, it is not suitable for small-diameter precision instrumentation lines.
