Manufactured in strict accordance with the EN 10216-5 standard and utilizing a solution annealing process, this 2 inch stainless steel coil tubing maintains a yield strength of ≥205 MPa even at high temperatures of 400°C. It effectively prevents issues such as creep deformation and tube rupture caused by prolonged high-temperature operation, making it ideal for use in boilers and steam systems.
Compared to carbon steel, stainless steel offers superior corrosion resistance and resists oxidation and scaling at high temperatures, thereby significantly reducing long-term maintenance and replacement costs for power plants.

Possible Alternative Grades
- For applications involving higher operating temperatures (>550°C) where the medium contains sulfur or there is a risk of reheat steam corrosion, 1.4571 (AISI 316Ti) is a suitable choice; it features lower carbon content and offers superior resistance to sensitization and higher creep strength at elevated temperatures, though it comes at a higher cost than 1.4404.
- For coastal power plants facing extreme chloride corrosion environments, duplex stainless steel 1.4462 (2205, S32205) is an option, as it offers higher strength.

Q: What is the maximum continuous length of the coiled tubing you supply?
A: For coiled tubing with a 2-inch outer diameter and a 2.77 mm wall thickness, the standard continuous length ranges from 200 to 350 meters. Thicker walls reduce the maximum coilable length; please consult our engineers for specific details.
Q: How is the surface quality of the coiled tubing (both inner and outer surfaces) ensured? What roughness levels can be achieved?
A: In the standard Bright Annealed (BA) condition, the inner surface roughness is Ra ≤ 0.8 μm, and the outer surface is ≤ 1.6 μm. The tubing undergoes in-line eddy current testing before leaving the factory. For solar-thermal or supercritical applications, we can provide ultra-smooth inner walls with Ra ≤ 0.4 μm.
