When exposed to air or oxygen-containing media, the surface of titanium rapidly forms a dense, stable titanium dioxide (TiO₂) passivation film capable of withstanding corrosion from complex physiological fluids-such as saline solutions, blood, and tissue fluids.
Small Diameter Seamless Titanium Tubing features an outer diameter tolerance of up to ±0.01 mm and an inner wall roughness of Ra ≤ 0.4 μm, making it ideally suited for use in precision medical devices such as catheters, guide wires, and stents.
