2. Weld Quality
- Our pipes undergo pickling and passivation after welding to remove scale and enhance corrosion resistance. Mechanical polishing ensures the weld area has the same smoothness as the base material.
- The pipes are subjected to eddy current testing, metallographic analysis, and weld hardness testing to ensure defect-free welds and consistent hardness between the weld and base material.
3. Corrosion Resistance
- The 409 Stainless Steel Exhaust Pipe is made of high-quality 409 ferritic stainless steel, suitable for high temperatures, exhaust condensate, humidity, and road salt environments, with a continuous operating temperature of up to approximately 675°C.
- The pipes are tested with a spectrometer to ensure that the chemical composition of the raw materials meets ASTM A268 standards. Salt spray tests, condensate simulation tests, and high-temperature oxidation tests are conducted to ensure the corrosion resistance of the welds.
4. Excellent Formability
- Our pipes have excellent bending properties, capable of accommodating complex bends in compact automotive chassis layouts. Controlled annealing after welding restores the ductility of the pipes, allowing for bending, expansion, and hydraulic forming.
- The pipes undergo flattening tests and weld bending tests to ensure excellent formability.
5. Custom Processing Services
- TORICH provides non-standard customization services with an outer diameter tolerance of ±0.1mm and roundness ≤0.05mm. Surface treatments such as pickling and passivation, bright annealing, black oxide treatment, and sandblasting are available upon customer request.
