With a maximum carbon content of 0.03%, TP304L experiences virtually no chromium carbide precipitation during welding and requires no post-weld annealing; it is commonly used in welded structures (such as storage tanks and piping), petrochemical equipment, cryogenic environments, and applications with a high risk of corrosion.
