ASTM A312 TP304 316 Heavy Wall Seamless Stainless Steel Tube is suitable for an operating temperature range of -269°C to 650°C, making it ideal for extreme operating conditions such as the cryogenic storage and transport of LNG, as well as high-temperature hydroprocessing units in oil refineries.
Compared to welded tubes, seamless tubes are integrally formed from solid round billets via hot piercing; as the tube walls contain no weld seams, this process eliminates structural non-uniformity and residual stresses within the weld zone, thereby endowing the tubes with superior pressure-bearing capacity and fatigue resistance.

- In addition to pickling and passivation, we provide surface treatment services such as bright annealing, mechanical polishing (Ra ≤ 0.4 μm – 1.6 μm), and internal cleaning/degreasing.
- We can prefabricate standard 30°/37.5° weld bevels in accordance with the ASME B16.25 standard, and offer customization for special bevel profiles, including U-type, V-type, and J-type configurations.

Possible Alternative Grades
- For applications requiring extensive field welding-such as long-distance oil and gas pipelines and large-scale plant piping systems-TP304L is a suitable choice.
- For extremely harsh acidic oil and gas fields or deep-sea environments characterized by high chloride ion concentrations, Duplex Stainless Steel 2205 or Super-Austenitic Stainless Steel 904L may be selected as alternatives to TP316L.
- When operating temperatures exceed the upper limits of TP304 or TP316-for instance, in environments with prolonged exposure to temperatures from 800°C to 1100°C-TP310S is the recommended choice.
