Titanium alloys are not only characterized by high strength and corrosion resistance but also possess the ability to withstand high temperatures; consequently, they are widely utilized in the structural fabrication of aircraft engine compressors, rockets, missiles, and high-speed aircraft, establishing themselves as a critical material within the aerospace sector.
Titanium square and rectangular tube exhibits exceptional high-temperature performance, boasting a melting point of up to 1668°C-a figure far exceeding that of common metallic materials such as stainless steel and aluminum alloys. As a result, they can maintain superior strength and hardness within the high-temperature and high-pressure environments characteristic of aerospace applications.
Furthermore, titanium alloys demonstrate excellent corrosion resistance when exposed to the atmosphere, seawater, and the various operational media encountered within aerospace working environments.

Possible Alternative Grades
- 304 Stainless Steel: Offers good corrosion resistance in mild environments. It's less expensive than grade 1 titanium, but less effective in corrosive marine and chemical environments.
- Aluminum Alloys (6061, 7075): Lightweight and more cost-effective. 6061 offers good corrosion resistance, but not as good as grade 1 titanium in harsh environments.
- Super Duplex Stainless Steel (2507): Offers excellent strength and corrosion resistance in chloride-rich and high-temperature environments, similar to grade 12 titanium, but at a lower cost. However, it is heavier than grade 12 titanium.
application areas
- Widely utilized in major structural components of aircraft, such as fuselage frames and wing skeletons.
- Employed in various parts of aero-engines, including air intakes, combustion chambers, exhaust systems, and engine pylons.
- Titanium square and rectangular tubes possess high strength and toughness, making them suitable for use in aircraft landing gear.

FAQ
Q: How do you ensure that your products comply with the ASTM B337 standard?
A: Our tubing undergoes ultrasonic flaw detection, rigorous dimensional inspection, and mechanical property testing to ensure full compliance with the ASTM B337 standard specifications.
Q: Aside from the standard lengths, what are the minimum and maximum lengths available for custom orders?
A: In addition to the standard lengths of 3 meters, 4 meters, and 6 meters, we can produce lengths as short as 500 mm. For extra-long dimensions, detailed consultation regarding shipping and processing logistics is required; for custom lengths, the tolerance can be controlled within ±3 mm.
Q: What is the corrosion resistance of your titanium square and rectangular tubing?
A: Titanium alloys form a dense and stable oxide film on their surface. In the aerospace sector, this enables them to withstand high-humidity environments at high altitudes, as well as salt spray corrosion during flights over coastal regions, and corrosion from chemical substances such as aviation fuel and hydraulic fluids.
