Due to its excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance and good corrosion resistance, it is widely used in certain specific industrial fields, such as the petrochemical industry, thermal power plants, and the marine industry.

Possible Alternative Grades

 

  • 309 / 309S: Slightly lower chromium and nickel than 310/310S, more economical option for moderate high-heat applications.
  • 304 / 304L: For moderate corrosion resistance at lower temperatures.
  • 316 / 316L: Excellent resistance to chlorides and marine environments.
  • 446 (Ferritic): Exceptional oxidation and scaling resistance at very high temperatures.
  • Nickel Alloys(Inconel 600 / 601, Alloy 800H, etc.)For extreme high-temperature or aggressive chemical environments beyond the performance of 310/310S.
