3 4 inch titanium pipe is available in two forms: seamless and welded. Titanium tubing exhibits exceptional corrosion resistance; for instance, Grade 2 titanium undergoes virtually no corrosion in seawater or chlorine-containing environments. The actual measured corrosion rate in seawater is approximately 0.0005 mm/year-a figure that compares far more favorably than the 0.02 mm/year rate observed in 316L stainless steel.
Titanium pipes can withstand continuous, long-term service temperatures of up to 315°C-significantly higher than that of stainless steel tubing-making them ideally suited for pipelines transporting high-temperature corrosive fluids.
Customized Services
- TORICH offers customized sizing services; the outer diameter range for seamless tubes is 5–630 mm, while that for welded tubes can reach up to 2,000 mm. Wall thicknesses range from 0.5 to 55 mm, and maximum lengths can reach 18,000 mm.
- We provide surface treatments such as pickling and passivation, mirror polishing, sandblasting, and anodizing. Additionally, we offer specialized weld polishing to eliminate weld seam protrusions.
- We also provide various end-finishing services, including beveling, threading, and flanging.

Possible Alternative Grades
- Grade 1 offers higher purity than Grade 2 at a lower cost; it exhibits superior ductility and weldability, and is easier to bend and fabricate, though it is suitable only for low-pressure piping systems.
- Grade 3 contains slightly higher levels of iron and oxygen impurities than Grade 2; it offers greater pressure-bearing capacity, while its corrosion resistance remains comparable to that of Grade 2.
- Compared to Grade 2, Grade 7 is better suited for environments involving strong reducing acids, although it is approximately 25% more expensive.
applications
The 3/4-inch titanium tubes we manufacture, which comply with the ASTM B337 standard, are widely utilized across the following industries and sectors:
- Chemical Processing: Piping for conveying acidic and corrosive fluids, chemical reactors, chlor-alkali production equipment, and process lines for handling oxidizing or weakly reducing media.
- Marine Engineering: Seawater cooling systems, internal fluid transport piping for vessels, piping systems for offshore platforms, marine HVAC systems, and subsea equipment.
- Seawater Desalination: Piping used in Multi-Stage Flash (MSF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) desalination plants, as well as tubing for evaporators and brine heaters.
- Heat Exchangers and Condensers: Shell-and-tube, coil-type, and serpentine heat exchangers, as well as surface condensers, are employed in power generation and industrial cooling systems.
- Aerospace: Piping systems for conveying aircraft fuel and hydraulic fluids.

FAQ
Q: Do titanium tubes require anti-corrosion treatment when immersed in seawater for extended periods?
A: No, they do not. Titanium naturally possesses a passive film that renders it inherently resistant to seawater corrosion. Consequently, there is no need to apply anti-corrosion paint during its 25-year service life, resulting in zero maintenance costs in the future.
Q: Do you supply both seamless and welded titanium tubes? How should one choose between the two?
A: Yes, we do. For high-pressure operating conditions, seamless titanium tubes are the preferred choice. For low-pressure environments involving standard corrosive conditions, welded titanium tubes are recommended as they offer superior cost-effectiveness. Furthermore, all our welded tubes undergo weld stress-relief treatment to eliminate any potential risks associated with weld stress corrosion.
Q: What surface treatment options are available for ASTM B337 titanium tubes?
A: Common surface treatment methods include acid pickling, bright annealing, and mechanical polishing. Surface treatments can also be customized to meet specific application requirements.
